Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

Frounder respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use frounder.in, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It is designed to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, as well as the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Who we are

frounder.in is operated by Kamlesh Menaria, a proprietorship trading as Craftsmen (brand: Frounder), 09, Bhuwana Bypass Chouraha, Sukher, Udaipur, Rajasthan, 313001 — the data fiduciary responsible for your personal data on this Site. You can reach us at support@frounder.in.

2. What we collect

  • Identity & contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses.
  • Order details: the products you buy, order value, and any personalisation you request (such as monogram initials).
  • Payment confirmation: payments are processed by RBI-authorised payment gateways. We receive confirmation of payment and a transaction reference — never your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and cookie data (see Cookies below).
  • Correspondence: messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

3. Why we use your data

  • To process and deliver your orders, and to send you order and delivery updates.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud.
  • To provide customer support, honour our warranty, and resolve grievances.
  • To meet our legal obligations — for example, tax, accounting and consumer-protection requirements.
  • With your consent, to send you updates and offers. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.

4. Consent and your choices

Order-related processing is necessary to fulfil the contract you enter into when you buy from us. Marketing communication is separate and based on your consent — you may withdraw it at any time, and withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send essential messages about orders you have placed.

5. Who we share it with

  • Courier and logistics partners (Blue Dart, Delhivery, Shiprocket) — your name, phone number and address, so that they can deliver your order.
  • Payment gateways — to process your payment securely.
  • Shopify — the platform that hosts our store and securely stores our customer and order data.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law or legal process.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the Site (cart, checkout, security) and analytics cookies to understand how the Site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect checkout.

7. Where your data is stored

Our store runs on Shopify, whose secure servers may be located outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we do so in accordance with applicable Indian law, which permits such transfers except to countries restricted by the Central Government, and we require our service providers to protect your data.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as needed to serve you — including for warranty support — and thereafter as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

9. Security

The Site uses encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and payment tokenisation through our gateways. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using reasonable security practices appropriate to a store of our size.

10. Your rights

  • Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Grievance redressal: raise a complaint about how your data is handled (see below).
  • Nomination: nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.

To exercise any right, write to support@frounder.in from your registered email address. We aim to respond within 7 business days, and in every case within the timelines required by law.

11. Children

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect or process the personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, write to us and we will delete it.
